Hi, I'm James, the creative director of Dark Cherry Creative. I'm 29 years old with a BA Honours degree in Graphic design and over seven years of house experience in design. I started my career working as a Junior Designer as part of Sports Direct Group, working on brands such as Karrimor, USA Pro, Gelert, Slazenger, Firetrap, Dunlop, Everlast and Lonsdale.

Hi, I'm James, the creative director of Dark Cherry Creative.

I'm 29 years old with a BA Honours degree in Graphic design and over seven years of house experience in design. I started my career working as a Junior Designer as part of Sports Direct Group, working on brands such as Karrimor, USA Pro, Gelert, Slazenger, Firetrap, Dunlop, Everlast and Lonsdale. Here I gained a tremendous understanding of the fashion and retail business, harnessed my skills, and put what I had learned so far to the test. A standout campaign here is that I worked on and led the Rio World Cup campaign for the Sports Direct stores worldwide. This involved working with the Fifa compliance team to fit the guidelines for the event.

After a year at Sports Direct, I moved over to a new challenge within a small team within the TCH Group, where I got to work on brands within the group such as TCH Ford, JCB and Leasing. Here I found love working within the automotive and construction-based industries. I worked my way up within the team to a senior position over the span of 5 years. I had a very diverse range within my design that allowed me to create contrasting campaigns and adapt my skills for the brand I was working with.

From here, I finally jumped to go self-employed along with Richard, whom I worked with from TCH and Charles, who was introduced to me by Richard from a previous job he was in. One thing became clear to me from working with external agencies as part of that job. That was the lack of understanding and quality of service that a lot of these more significant industries offered. Dark Cherry was formed from the frustration of working with companies such as these.

We set out to build a company made up of 3 experts in 3 critical areas of marketing to provide an all-in-one service. We aim to give support and help to our clients to give them the information they need to build and grow their businesses. We aim to provide a quality service that delivers results and be as transparent as possible to our customers to show them what we have done with our budget.

Two and a half years in, and we are more than ready to push our services to a whole new level.
