Who are Outside the Box
Gareth came to us as a fresh new business working on bespoke joinery projects. Already an experienced joiner in his own right, Gareth had recently become self-employed and wanted to really push his new range of bespoke products.
I personally came across Outside the Box through local connections, we needed some bespoke items making for our home and wanted something a bit more unique than the run-of-the-mill products you can buy off the shelf, or something mass-produced by an eBay seller. Having personally used Outside the Box on several occasions it’s a brand we’re proud to support and publicise. We always love working with local businesses and it was a pleasure to work with Gareth on his website to support the new business.
Website brief
The brief was to build a website that captured the essence of the brand, showcased the unique style of the work and provided e-commerce functionality so products could be listed and sold on the site. We decided that a dark and moody with a heavy emphasis on real wood grain would be a great fit for the existing edgy branding.
How we did it
The site itself was built to be easily maintainable and utilises the popular Woocommerce E-Commerce Website platform. This gives the customer a great avenue to publicise their products on a variety of different platforms with easy integrations with Facebook, eBay, Etsy and pretty much any Social Media site you can think of.
We think the atmospheric photography used really complements the design here. Consistency is key when it comes to imagery. You’ll notice that all the products have a very similar photography style and contrast well with the branding and site feel. It’s this sort of attention to detail that’s the difference between a store that’s thrown together and a cohesive looking storefront that properly showcases your products.
